General Comments20 kilometers of beach protected by a large and well preserved coral barriers. From 7 to 35 meters depth you can find different species of coral, enormous fans, crustaceans and mollusks, caves and tunnels, and also Nuestra Señora de Altagracia (Our Lady of Altagracia) sunken ship. Recommended Diving sites: * Mortera: -27 meters; identified by the remains of a 19th century Spanish merchant shipwreck at the entrance of Nuevitas Bay channel. Colorful coral fish, big snappers, * Cueva Honda (Deep Cave): 32 meters, an impressive cave with shelters tarpon and big groupers. * Sharks Point: -30 meters, there a show in which sharks up to 3 metres long are fed out of the hands of diving instructors. * Nuestra Señora Virgen de Altagracia: -27 meters. A well preserved steel tug boat from early of 20th century, located next to a wall dropping straight into the abyss. - Instructors: 5. - Course certification: ACUC, SNSI - Boats: two 13 feets boats. Daily capacity for up to 50 divers. - Average Annual Temperature: 27° C. - Qualified medical staff and reanimation equipment.
